Capital Radio is a FTSE 350 quoted company, whose core business is the operation of radio stations. The company began broadcasting in London in 1973, when it became one of the first two licensed commercial stations on air. It has expanded by acquisition to operate 15 stations in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Oxford, Kent, Sussex and Hampshire. All its acquired stations have since seen considerable increases in audience, reflecting the increased investment in the stations by the group. |
